fender p tone

hey mike
first of all i want to say what an honor it is to communicate with you,you and entwistle are the reason i play the bass.my question is both technical and anecdotal.on corndogs video there is minutemen clip, outside, playing toadies, the big foist, and god bows to math.you're playing a fender precision
with very pronounced p tone,i was wondering what equipment you were using, what exactly that bass was.to get such a cool sound, and also wether you actually liked that sound,as its the only time i've ever heard it from you.
thanks

james,

what does the bass look like? is it a white fender precision bass? if it is, then it's crane's bass (he helped us on backups and trumpet on "project mersh").

on bass, watt
