Fender PLUS Owners!

Just scored a precision plus today. Owner didn’t know what it was and I thought it was an elite with a pickup swap (based on the blurry pic of the bridge)

It has been mostly ignored for 25 years. Little wear, mostly neglect. Fret ends popping out, neck had way too much relief. Gonna take a little work to get it playable, but hopefully still a good deal

I found this one in a pawn shop. I had it set up with Precision Flats Regular gauge and I really like the tone. Only downside has been the output. I have to crank the tone knobs all the way up to get close to passive pickup output. Also, I cannot feel the detente in the tone controls at all. I'm thinking of having a Bartolini TC3 clean boost installed to bring it up to 'normal' levels. Has anyone else dealt with the low output? What solution? Or did you just crank the tone knobs.
