Fender Pots in a BC Rich. Opinions, please.

Hello. I recently (like yesterday) installed some MIM Fender pbass pickups in a BC Rich Warlock. My main bass is a 2004 MIM P (a fantastic bass) and I was hoping to get a similiar tone in the Warlock 'on the cheap'. The pickups were $20. Anyway, the difference is night and day, but I find that the Warlock has a very clean tone compared to the Fender, which has that wonderful p bass grit in its tone. Would installing new pots affect the tone at all? I'm completely new to the electronic side of things. Thanks

The Warlock is basically a pointy toy and a backup bass, but I would still like to get a good P tone (or close to) out of it if I could. Thanks.

The only effect of pots is their resistance, and changing resistances results in a subtle attenuation of higher frequencies. Probably not worth bothering with.

I switch out pots all the time, it all depends on what value the pots are and what value you want.

The only grit a pot will put in your sound is the kind you don't want.
