1963 Precision Bass. It was born in precisely the same month as me. Neck is refinished in gun stock oil, and the pull bar is modern plastic. Everything else is original and 100% soulful. In my mind, I'm in the band with Booker T and the boys at McLemore Avenue.

Nice bass. Not that big of a deal on the tug bar. While always nice to have completely original, those were plastic anyway at that time.

I’m looking for an original 1952-1957 1/2 bridge. I have a ‘54 that doesn’t have the original bridge.
Every once in a while I see one pop-up somewhere. As crazy as it seems, some people actually part-out these old basses

If anyone has an orphan bridge please let me know.

On Ebay there is a 52 being taken apart and parts are sold. I bought the electronics that I needed for my 52.
Maybe they sell the bridge.

The ‘59 - my main axe since ‘75, (45 years!) up on the mantle after taking down the Christmas decorations. I’m sure my wife has other ideas, but the opening was too fun to pass up!

Interesting question! I’ve always wondered why it seems as if there are noticeably fewer ‘63 Jazz basses than either the 62’s or (especially) the 64’s.
