After a ton of trials my fender trifecta complete. I love early slab fenders. I notice these early slab Brazilian rosewood fingerboards have just abit extra 3d mid richness. Save on the journey, Recommend finding a good original slab j and p!

heres 60/61 j. One of the first 3 knobs which I highly prefer over stack knob circuit tone wise
61p
62p

Agreed. I stupidly sold my 1960 slab board on here a few years ago. At the time I didn't have a lot of experience with PBasses. I had no idea what I was giving up. Keep kicking myself in the head about it now.

A very nice bass in what is perhaps one of THE most classic colour schemes, but it just goes to show that on occasion, even the most coveted Fender basses from what I call the 'Golden Era' were not perfectly fitted/finished. To wit - that bridge is crooked.

I agree, I love the slab boards as well. For me, those with some Labella 760FS strings, capturevthecsoind I want. Here's my 61 PBass. It's all original, except for a touch up on the finish on the upper horn.
