Fender Pure Vintage '60 Precision Bass Pickup

I love the original P bass 63's and they growl, with low and mids. I was unware they are discontinued.

The PV60's sound nice in the above video but I don't have any.

I also just picked up a set of MIJ Fender P bass PU's - wow, they are nice and clean, clear and not muddy lows.

I don't like the S.D. 1/4 pounders (SD3) - way too hot. I have one P bass with the Aguilar DCB4's - they seem lacking low end. Nice but not my favorites.....and no growl when I dig in......sort of like G-rated P bass PU's.....

I installed a PV 60 on a AO 60s P bass after having replaced the stock PV 63 with a Klein Epic 62, which was finally replaced by the Fender PV 60.
This pickup will stay.
It’s musical and articulated without being weak and for the price it is certainly a valid solution for those who seek a non-bass heavy vintage P-bass tone.
So far I prefer it to the 5% underwound Lindy Fralin I placed on another P of mine.

My final judgement: highly recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
