Fender Rascal Bass

I saw a couple members discussing the new Fender Short Scale Rascal Bass and they were wondering when it would be for sale here in the U.S. Well, it is! I just bought one. They are going for anywhere from $500 and I have seen them up to $800 depending on where you buy it from. Seems they all come with a Fender Gig Bag. I should be getting mine in a few days. This will be my 6th bass. I had more but I cut back on a few. I found the Rascal interesting because of the shorter scale. Saw it demoed on YOU TUBE. Sounds great and has a lot of options for different tone quality. Only comes in Turquoise. I'd rather a different color but for the price and it being a Fender, I though it was worth it.

I ADORE my little rascal. She is new to me and I am a new bass player too. I’m a woman and feel like its size is much bettter for my hands than a regular bass—on the other hand (HA!) my hands are enormous and about the size of an average man’s hands so I wonder how y’all do it?

I am a guitar player and I play my bass like a guitar which is a blast.

Sadly, it seems to give my serious Carpal Tunnel Issues, and I am by trade a writer (where the carpal tunnel issue first popped up in complaint about my 5000 word per day output of mostly garbage, until i got an ergo split keyboard. So I cannot afford to really blow my hands out.

Anybody know anything about why my rascal would trouble my wrists so, when my (acoustic) guitar never did? Anybody know the a remedy?
