Fender refinish

Hi Everyone

I am in the process of refinishing a P-bass, with a jazz bass neck.

I have bought the neck (genuine Fender jazz neck) but want to colour match the headstock.

A friend of mine works at a graphic design shop and has offered to print me a plain white Fender decal onto vinyl to go under the top coats.

I know that this is sometimes frowned upon, but all the parts of this build are genuine fender, and it is my own custom not for resale. Also I don't think fender do plain white logos!!

Anyway does anyone know the dimensions of the fender logo? Just the fender part, the PRECISION BASS part I will size as I see fit. Just need this as a guide whilst I'm at work.

Printing a vinyl sticky-back graphic won't cut it. The Fender replacement logo(s) you want are a water-slide, true decal.

BUT - most ALL guitar decals aren't water slides - at least from the factory. Many builders use a silk screen process and those remaining others that don't, use a true water-slide type.

The vinyl decal - (and that second word's a misnomer since it's really a sticker) - won't usually sit UNDER the clear coat well ------------ if at all!
