The pattern seems fair enough to me, they're putting the wear in the most common places for it to occur are they not? The thing that puts me off is that they want to offer a worn product but from the pictures seem to be very worried about anything that could be conceived as damage like chips and fret wear and stuff, seems like a bit of a cop out to me. The relics that Alien posted seem to just have a standard new neck on them...
Least they aren't too bigger rip offs, I'd never pay for that Jaco model, the bit around the rear contour is ridiculous, one massive section of wear with perfect finish directly above it?

For the RIC basses I experienced that only the very old vintage series (4000, 4001 before 1975 and special series like "Shadow", "Chris Squire",...) retain their dents and wear. Most of the RICs undergo refinishing by well known luthiers and RIC afiliated specialists
. In the RicResourceForum such "road worn philosophy" is not very common sense.
