Fender rumble 350 - distorted vibrations

Hi all

I just plugged in an amp I had sitting around the studio for a while (fender rumble 350). Now it use to sound great, but after trying it the other day - I found the amp is now sounding distorted / distant and has a vibration type of sound to it... not very pleasant.

I thought I may have blown a speaker.. so I took the front off... the intresting part is - if I touch the speaker, the great sound is back.. if I move my finger away, the distortion comes back.

Any idea what this could be? blown speaker, or something else?

Are the mounting screws for the driver in need of a little tightening?

I'm also having the exact issue. The amp was put away for more that 3 years. I'm researching possible causes and fixes.

Usual cause after storage is a small rodent making a nest and the debris rubbing against the back of the cone. This is common where the ports are open and provide good access to rodents.
