Fender Rumble 500 combo, best extention cab

hi guys.....new to forum and read most of the topics regarding whats best to match the combo and sorry to hijack the conversation so to speak...just thought id let you know that i recently bought a 500 combo which was plenty for what i needed in my band but wanted an extra bit low end so tried 115 , 112, 210 and 410 with my 500 combo... to my surprise i must say the 210 not only complimented the size but also sounded a hell of a lot more cleaner with everything i needed low end than either the 112 or 115..... the 410 in my honest was just too much for what i need but an awesome bit of kit and i felt it needed a 115 bottom and a 500 head....not the combo...to finish the rig off.....obviously everyones different and im personally playing rock to punk and a little 2 tone ska so to say im happy would be an understatement.....light ....durable....and loud.......hope this helps somebody which has had the same dilema as me for the last two weeks deciding....proof was in the pudding when i tested and everyone will has different tastes and style...the rumble certainly has brought my passion back along with the 210 backing it up after a very heavy trace.......

yup.

the other cabs work but the matching 2x10 tends to work best. full power from the amp, power equally divided between all four speakers, taller than the 15 or 12 and a nice light but sturdy box.

wow, really, I just assumed bigger speaker bigger bottom, glad I asked, and thank you.
Yep. ..probably the most common misconception found on Talkbass. I found out the hard way years ago. ..that a 115 UNDER my 410 didn't sound NEARLY as good as if I matched my 410 with another identical one. EVERYTHING was better then.
I've got the Rumble 500Combo and I've used it with my current Bassman Pro Neo 115 and it does work well. But. ....if I were going to buy a cab to use regularly with the 500C. ...it'd definitely be a matching 210 Rumble cab.
