Fender Rumble Club

Gimme a number! Brand new Rumble 200 owner here!

Congrats! You are gonna love that 200, I know I love mine. That 15 speaker sounds awesome. Even better when you combine it with an extension Rumble 115 cabinet!

I'm using my old Crate combo and its 1x15 as an extension cabinet. Got the head pulled out so I can recycle it at the Goodwill!

:bassist: WOOT :woot: Welcome to the club fellow Virginian! Rumble On!

A buddy in my band spent a lot of years in Harrisonburg and Waynesboro. I went to JMU. Love that part of the world.

A hey--my picture posted sideways. That's how much bottom end I have now.

You can add me to the club. I'm a new TB member. I have a Rumble V3 500 combo.

Actually, I have a question for you all which is what drove me to TB in the first place. I've been gigging recently as a rhythm guitarist but am switching back to bass. It's been 20 years since I gigged as a bassist. I got the Rumble 500 combo on a whim, but now I've got a band interested in me and I'm worried it's not going to be enough. It's a 4-piece country/rock band. They have a PA, and the Rumble has the line out. They mostly play bars but the singer told me he wants to play more festivals. I realize that might not be enough info for anyone to offer a full informed opinion. Do you think I'll have enough to cover me? Alternative is to get a 500 head with 410 cab either in Rumble or Bassman (though since Im married, I really like the headphone jack on the Rumbles)... don't want to dish out cash if I don't have to. When I was playing guitar, I used a small Fender Mustang 112, which was fine mic'd. I'm just not sure if bass direct to PA works the same. Thoughts? and thank you!

IF the "festival" is being billed as Woodstock III, I'd consider a second 2x10 cabinet. Otherwise, you'll get your point across with the R500

Add the V3 210 extension cab to that R500 combo... It'll do the job, there and back. Honestly, anything more should be going through FOH / PA anyway.

IF the singer wants more volume from your bass amp, get him to a hearing specialist.

For our UK friends:

Anderton's posted a Rumble review on their Youtube channel the other day. I generally like their reviews. They made a mistake, saying the 25 has a 10" speaker, but otherwise it is a decent review. Anyway, they are adding a complimentary "Tone City" pedal of the buyer'schoice with the purchase of any Rumble 100 watts or above. Sounds like a decent deal.

That 500 will cover you just fine in my opinion. You could add a second can if you want to....but with PA support you wouldn't need to....the 500 has plenty of juice for gigs without PA and is loud enough for stage volume when with PA support. Easy load in/out as well!
Enjoy that 500 and let us know how it works out in the wild for you.
