Fender Rumble Club

I was wondering if any of you actually own the current Rumble 25 and if so, what do you honestly think about it?
I have it, and it is a great practice amp for my use. Plenty loud for practice and jamming along with acoustic guitar or songs on the radio, and it sounds good. I have a Rumble 500 too and so I know what the big brother sounds like, and the 25 is definitely the same amp in a smaller package. The only circumstances where I wouldn't recommend the 25 are if you are trying to do anything louder than living room volume with it or if you want the features like OD, etc. I don't use any of those features on either the 25 or the 500, but the OD on the 25 is not anything like the one on the 500, and the 25 is also missing vintage and bright switches as well as a high mid knob. It does have a three band EQ as well as a contour button. As I said, I don't use any OD/vintage/bright settings, but I do use the high mid knob on the 500 quite a bit. In my opinion, it isn't a big deal for an amp of this size as the sound is great with the knobs right in the middle, and I'm not trying to sit in a mix when I'm playing in my living room. I typically cut the bass a little if I'm trying to play quietly, but otherwise leave the EQ knobs right in the middle. All in all, a perfect little amp if you're in the market for a one-trick pony like I was.

Mostly, I was thinking about the 25 because it would be great to have around to play with a couple acoustic guitars when we get together. I do have the 100 and 200, but I'd like to have the very smallest good sounding amp. I tried the 15 in a couple stores and it seemed like for $10 more, I would still have the nice small footprint and sound a little better with the 25? Sometimes I will want to leave my Precision at home and bring my Taylor Mini Bass. I know it sounds great through the 100 already, and for now, I don't mind bringing it because it really is a fantastic amp. I appreciate all the responses from everyone. Nice to be able to throw out ideas here.

Another Tandark update.

New baby meant few opportunities for practice/pedal tweaking with my 500c.
Until I remembered THE HEADPHONE JACK IN THE BACK.
Feels like genuine speaker tone through my cans, baby snoozing in the next room and cat snoozing beside the amp had no idea of the glorious grindy tones and epic soundscapes.
Another gig last weekend, used the XLR for the first time no problems. Feel like I got a hell of a deal getting it when I did, they are now £50-75 more expensive here in the UK.

This amp continues to deliver.

I made the mistake of telling my primary care doctor I felt a little tightness in my chest for a few seconds one night. EKG is normal after he checked it but he still sends me to a Cardiologist. They do an EKG and it's normal.

So now he wants me to do a stress test and some kind of echo thingamajig test with a isotope.

Thing is the tests aren't going to be until January. If they're concerned why do they wait so long ?

Anyhow has anyone done a stress test ? I'm trying to figure out why they want me there at 8:30 a.m. for the first test but the second test isn't going to be until 12:30 p.m.

Do they do all that junk to you Linnin ?

echocardiogram Yes. I've had several. stress test No. They already knew I couldn't take it. In my case I was given a rush appointment for cardiac catheterization and coronary angiogram. No stents needed. Then I underwent cardioversion a month later. Been pretty good with the sole exception of a minor heart attack half a year later. I'm on a blood thinner and blood pressure medicine. I could expire at any time, but I'm good to go.

I guess I have to start reading up on this stuff.

The stents I could probably handle. But they want to rip my chest open, I don't think I'd go there.

I think I'm doing okay though. When I took my vacation back in late July I'll work tomorrow rear end off for like 9 straight days in the heat until I just couldn't go anymore. Cleaning out all the junk in my house. If I had any heart issues I probably would have collapsed one of them days.

Anyhow, glad to hear your doing better.

How does that blood thinner stuff get along with bourbon ?

I've had numerous stress tests and angiogram / angioplasty with stents. Sounds like they are going to inject "tracer chemicals" then you wait an hour and they do a baseline heart scan, then the stress test, then another scan. There's different procedures, but it's generally sequenced something like this. Best wishes!

Thanks, I think I'm okay. That isotope thing, won't that detect any sort of cancer as well ? A co-worker said as it passes through various organs in the body if there's any cancer it will show up on the screen because the isotope makes the cancer cells glow or something.

If that's true they'll be killing two birds with one stone.

It doesn't. Your blood gets way too thin.
That's what I was thinking. I wonder if it would work if I told the doc I take my own blood thinner ?

I quit doing shots. These days I just mix it with a little ginger ale.

I don't shoot booze (revolvers, yes). I just sip. No mixer. Sometimes a splash of water or ice. Your doctor will tell you to quit drinking. Mine did, so I told him that I had. Which was true on that day.

Yes, I have come to that conclusion myself as well...

Not to get too philosophical, but it is interesting how, when one really gets a handle on one's own mortality (which can be easier said than done), it really gives one perspective on the things that matter and the things that don't!

In any event, here's to good health to all of you gents!

Hi,
I will take a number. I am looking to buy a Rumble 150 a 2014 model. Anybody out there with pro's and cons on this one.
Thanks
Welcome @Cadmandu! They are excellent in every way except weight. Constructed of MDF they are something like 55 or 60 pounds. Rumble 150 combos were made from 2010-13. Rumble 150 heads were 2011-13. The V3 Rumbles were introduced at the 2014 Winter NAMM.

Thanks the one I'm looking at is a 2013 with 30 hrs on it. Never left home for 200.00. s/n CFOA 13000361 can you read that number?
They were $350 new so $200 is a bit high. $150 is more like it. I can read it, but have no way to look up your serial #. If it looks & sounds like new and you're OK with the price, go for it. Remember it is a combo only and cannot accept an extension speaker cabinet like the newer Rumble 200 can. So it is what it is. They sound good and solid with the same ICE D Class power. The only difference in EQ is in the low mids. The 150 has a 400Hz shelf while the 200 has a 280Hz. The bass; high mids, and treble are all the same.
