Is there any specs on how much weight you can put on the Rumble cabs?
I may be able to get a used 112 at a fair discount to the new price. I haven’t really thought about the 112 up til now, been more concerned on the combos or the 115.
I’m a little concerned that 19” width isn’t wide enough for either of my heads. The old SS is 23” across and the inside edge of the feet is just on 20” on my quick look. The valve head is a fraction narrower. My current cab is an old 410 and wide enough for the heads.

I’m considering grabbing a 112 to go with the SS (250w & 4ohm capable). I could then use that with a little hand trolley instead of a combo.

My needs are low volume, and I could get by with a 40 or 100 combo, however this has come up and allows me to utilise what I already have to an extent. It has me thinking anyway.

My question relates to using the old heads with the cab snuggled between the feet. There are no cooling slots underneath the head which is in a travel case type arrangement.

It just seems a little “Dodgey Bros” slipping the head over the cab like that. I think it could be fairly secure though.

I don't think you need to worry about weight, I think the concerns would be aesthetics and whether or not the entire cab actually fits between the feet of the head. It seems like there's a risk that the head would sit at an angle due to one set of feet hanging off the edge.

I wonder if there's any chance of a cooling problem? I'm not sure exactly how the Rumble is physically configured, but normally an amp is designed to facilitate air flow past the power section components and cooling heat sink when the amp is in it's "normal" orientation.
It may not even be a consideration with the Rumble; just thought I'd ask the question and tuck away the information for possible use down the line.

It has a fan. It is not a problem. But, it is a valid question.

Questions for Rumble owners.

I am considering the Rumble 500 combo for smaller gigs. How does it handle the B string? I have both a Roscoe and Lakland 55-94 with killer B strings and wonder if the amp's going to fart out.

The footswitch... What does it control? The overdrive?

The 500 may be overkill for small gigs, but then I don't know what you consider a small gig. I play with a trio and I use a 500c with a 2x10 extension. Even before I added the extension, it was plenty loud. You can, of course, adjust the volume to taste.
You will be happy with the B string sound you get from your Rumble. It will not fart out. If you turn it up enough to make it fart out, you will probably hurt yourself.
The foot switch in on/off for the OD.

Imo go with the 100, if you use pedals. It has an effects loop.

But if we were to use a 24 hour clock, 5 o'clock would actually be 1700! My Rumble goes to 1700
So there!

So does switching to standard time make it louder?

After posting the questions yesterday I went in for a play around and she went ‘bang’.

I’ll have a look in a while but hopefully the fuse may have saved things. Anyway, plan is at least delayed.

I experimented live with low Ab in church on the Rumble 500C. It actually sounded pretty damned good. I used my pitchfork to drop that particular note. The reason is because the singer sang the song in a strange key which caused the lowest note to be the Ab repeatedly--and it is the hook for that song.

Well, back when I purchased my Rumble 500 head and 2 112 cabs, I quit smoking to pay for the rig. Actually stop smoking long enough to pay for the rig and then some.

But like a dummy I started smoking again and having a tough time quitting again.

So today I got an idea. I have been wanting 2 more Rumble 112 cabs, so I took advantage of the ZZ Sounds 6 equal payments deal and went ahead and ordered them.

Now I have no choice but to stop smoking again because I can't afford to pay for the cabs and continue smoking

More db's and more importantly Better Health

I'll post photos Wednesday Thursday or Friday whenever they get here.

Edit : just did the math. I'll throw the 6 bucks a day I spend on cigarettes in an envelope, and the cabs will be paid for in about three and a half months.

Are you going to run all four at once? If so with two heads or by using a series cable to make an 8 ohm load?

I doubt I will run stereo effects so I'll stack them side-by-side. I'll have to get another stand or turn those stands sideways to couple them snug.

I think that, at least once, you should stack all 4 vertically and stand about 50ft away
