Fender Rumble Club

Rig from an afternoon gig at an outdoor small town festival....it pretty much sounded the way it looks:)

To the tube amp connoisseurs & aficionados, yes, indubitably. They have greater natural harmonic distortion. Tubes also have a naturally occurring compression as they amplify the signal. If you can afford the $1,800 Fender Super Bassman head, by all means get one. Add a cabinet or two and you're very quickly talking $3,000 USD. Well worth it.

wow! for that price is it really worth it? I mean... this is the rumble we are talking about! It's not perfect but not far off!

If, and I mean a BIG IF, you're recording, maybe, but the audience can't tell the difference in sound, esp. if your adding any o/d. Here's a thought: have a couple of MT/hollow speaker cabs behind you and hide the Rumble(s) behind the grill cloth. No one will ever know:smug: addendum:that would work particularly well with an R800(it's black)behind black grill cloth

All concealment is wrong - we’re not ashamed to be Rumblers, we’re PROUD! RUMBLE ON!

I am just so tired of all the anti-Fender hate and blatant stupidity. If you're stupid and hate Fender, please start your own thread.

Man, i love Fender! Strats, Jazzes, Rumbles... the original recipe, classic electric guitar and bass sounds. Pioneers of electric bass guitar and bass guitar amplification.

Fender is literally like one sound that fits into any music! I mean, i love my gibson les pauls, sg, thunderbirds, the thump of the Rickenbacker 4001's... but somehow u always go back to that strat or jazz bass or whatever it may be.

Man, Leo Fender seriously knew what he was doin', didn't he?...

:roflmao: RUMBLE ON!! :roflmao:

No it is not the Fender Rumble we are talking about, but rather the Fender Super Bassman and matching Bassman Neo cabinet(s). Yes, of course they're worth it. If they weren't no one would buy them. As it stands, the Fender Super Bassman is the best selling all tube bass amp world wide.

It's not shame, but, as has been said b4 in this thread, there seems to be a prejudice against combo-type amps. Put the amp in a fake Marshall or SVT cab, blow people away, then reveal the real source of the sound at the end. Might open some eyes- and minds.

I see your point, but I stand by mine. :) Actually, I don’t think it matters one whit to most people, it’s just a few anti-combo curmudgeons who hang out at places like TB. If you want to wow people with your sound, it can be done as easily with your Rumbles out in the open, and then people would know right away that an inexpensive combo was involved (if they knew the difference or cared, which I doubt). If it sounds good, it is good. Beyond that, most people don’t ask questions.

After much deliberation, I would consider the Stage and Studio models to be v1 versions of Rumble modeling amps with more versions to follow.
New firmware will be written and arrive magically through the air. So will new artist written presets. As far as new hardware being engineered and manufactured, we shall wait patiently for the future to arrive.

The wife is learning and she loves that little Sterling by Music Man S.U.B. 4 bass I bought for her..I must admit it looks great..white with the black PG and it plays great too..I used it at a couple of gigs..not bad for an Indonesian made bass guitar for under $600 AUD (about $446 USD). Of course any bass guitar sounds great through that Rumble rig.

thats true! my first bass was a $230 aud Legend P bass. It is absolutle garbage peice of engineering. Then hooked it up to the rumble when i first got it and actually sounded not too bad. there u have it! even makes stupid 200 bucks basses sound alright! :roflmao:
