Why, yes Aaron, you can buy an awesome Fender Bassman 500 at most friendly neighborhood music stores and many online outlets. And @Gravedigger Dav and I can assure you that they are worth every penny. And, as one of my favorite rig photos shows, they play well with Rumbles!

I'm not as good at Photoshop as Yahboy, but I did cause a bit of a stir some time back with this:

Wow! That's the first time I've heard of a Rumble amp being perceived as too big for a gig!?! And then the kicker is that it's weight qualifies it for the smaller gig?!? That is just too cool!

I think it was more he felt sorry for me dragging that heavy-looking amp around, and thought he was doing me a favor suggesting I bring a smaller alternative. Another thing I like about the 200 is, on a tight stage, I have the option of sitting on the amp rather than a chair or stool. I'm 6'2" and it's a good height.

I've plugged headphones into the "phones" jack on my R200, the same phones I plug into my Dell laptop. But I have to max out the Master volume, and bass volume, to barely reach a useful level in the phones. I want to be able to fine tune the bass by ear, on site, using the headphones.

Do I have the wrong impedance phones? Or is the output signal that low? Or something wrong with my amp's phones circuit?

I've actually tried two different pairs, the only ones I have with the mini plugs. And they're both loud used with a laptop. The Rumble specs say 32 ohms / channel.

Yes, I've sat on my R500c at jams several times. I'm also 6'2" and 2.... uh, weigh a lot, and it's always very sturdy under my stress-test.

I figured it out, I had a pair I hadn't tried, they work fine. The fairly expensive Sony travel phones I have really suck, and reviews really panned them. The cheap Verbatim mic headset works fine.

When I bought my 500H and 2x10 I had to bus em home. So I put up the bus seats and sat on the amp. I must say it made a decent bus seat.

For those that recall, about a week ago, my Rumble 500c stopped powering up. Fender is taking care of me, saying that if it's the amp's fault and not mine, they will replace it. It shipped out to them today, on their dime. Cross your fingers for me and I will keep you posted. Thanks.

I just found that if I run everything at noon, I am getting a better tone for my different way of using a Rumble.

I have always and still do run my 500 and 40 at noon. Vintage and contour engaged. love
