Fender Rumble Club

I just did a little Craigslist buy/sell/horse trading. When all was said and done I got a nice Hercules stand and Fender Rumble 15 for free. (My favorite price). The Rumble 15 is replacing a crappy sounding Ibanez practice amp in my office. It really has a nice, clear sound and tone!

I owned a Rumble 150 for a while and that was a great sounding amp as well.

Congratulations, tony! Glad you finally found us. @tonybassman, you are now member #1140 in the Fender Rumble Club. That's a pretty nice looking V1 Rumble 15, if I'm not mistaken. Why, with that display paper on it, you might never guess that it could as much be as 16 years old. But it should still be able to . . . .

Rumble On!

Funny, I’m on the other side of the fence. I love the rig, but since I keep one 100 at our rehearsal space, I’m now looking at a 210 combo to cut down on schlep for the bigger gigs! :woot:
That makes sense for your needs. We rarely rehearse but when we do, I take my Bassman 25.

I’m noticing that the 112 v3 is no longer available

I’m noticing that the Rumble 100 v3 is still available

I’m noticing that they both have the same 12” eminence speaker

I’m noticing they’re both $299.99

That is the part I’m having problems with. If it’s possible to daisy chain 2 Rumble 100 v3 combos why would you buy a 112 v3 cabinet if for no other reason than it being slightly lighter?

Perhaps you've hit on one of the reasons why the 112 cab was discontinued!?!
.
... ... the daisy chain seems to be a super fan hack; IDK if they necessarily expect/want us to be doing that....

Shhhhh! Don't be giving away our secrets! Why, if I hadn't RTFM for my Bassman several years ago, I might've never known about it! It's bad enough all this secret info is linked on our wiki page.

It's actually worse than that... the 112 cab is significantly heavier than the R100c. It's also larger (19" wide) which lines it up better with the bigger combos. But it does have a tweeter (which the R100c doesn't) and can handle a higher power input than the R100c has.

Say, there, Mac. Just where did you notice that the speaker in the Rumble 100 is the same as in the Rumble 112 cab, rated 250 watts continuous, 500 watts peak?

That question has been asked in the past, but never confirmed. It was surprising enough when a trusted source revealed that the R200c and 115 cab have the same speaker.

Ah...the Tweeter is the reason......

Both were referred to in size as 12" Dia. and 'Eminence'. I'll see if I can find that link.

I've received this communique on this subject:

"They are not the same woofer at all. The R112 has a heavier magnet and larger voicecoil to take higher wattage. Cone & surround are different (stiffer). The woof for the R100 combo was specifically designed for that application only. The R112 is also heavier due to: larger size of cab; heavier plywood + acoustic treatment, a tweeter, and a pair steel side handles. I believe we've discussed this before in a Rumble Talk."

Not a Rumble Talk, but Official Fender answer to the question. (Which, now, is a Rumble Talk!)

Probably more competition for the R112 was that the R115 was at the same price point.

Ha! Well I guess I’ll never be cool then. Why start caring now?
That train done left awready.

Well, then, by this "standard", who is cool now? I mean, my photoshopped dream is totally awesome, of course, but I'd really like a real world unretouched photo of this rig!
The concept is not as outrageous as it sounds. The original SVT came with 2 8x10 cabs. I had one for a short period, but quickly found it was way too much and cut back to a V4B and 1 8x10 cab,

I played a coupla tunes through another guy's SVT/2x810s. The air moved my bell bottoms.(that'll give ya a clue when it was)

You gotta dream bigger! My dream rig is using the stereo line outs on the Studio 40 to power TWO of your measly 800 watt 16 x 10s...

Oh, I'm working my way up to that, don't you worry. This is as far as I've gotten, so far, but not even a decent chance to use it, yet.
