Fender Rumble Club

No beatings allowed! Because no Club withdrawal is allowed! We're the Hotel California of clubs! You can never leave!!! Besides, as you say, you never know but that the future holds another Rumble for you. So, you keep the same Club number in the blessed assurance of the second coming! :cool:

It works pretty well, jt. You show us a pic of your Rumble (yeah, we've all seen 'em a million times, but we wanna see yours!), and I do a number, uh, ..., I mean, I bestow a number upon you, which entitles you to all the privileges and benefits of membership in the coolest association on TalkBass.

That's it! Can't wait to see yours. ;)

Some pix of my Fender family (with newest members: 800 HD & 115). I still cannot believe the vintage, tube tone I get from these solid state amps, esp the 800!! I played with the 800, 410 & 115 last night and had vintage tone for days!! The 115 def added exactly what I was lacking in terms of the tone I have been trying to achieve.

**I pair it with my always on Sansamp Tech 21 bass DI (my only pedal), which definitely adds tube warmth, but damn the rig sounded amazing!

Had a rehearsal today, set my Rumble to my “new usual.” Bass at 9:00, LM, HM at 12, T at 2:00. All buttons off, tilt back wedge.

Ive posted before about my BL criticizing the Rumble as muddy. But today he says “Amp sounds good today like that, clean and a nice treble pop.” So the Rumble has the power to please the unplease-able! :thumbsup:

we were also rehearsing with a sub drummer for an upcoming gig. We agreed to use the Rumble 100 (instead of my 2x100 stack) through the PA, so I’m excited to see how that works out- full report impending!

I’ve never tried an active Fender, but I’ve used Musicman basses with Rumbles for years, and they sound great. If you’re concerned about the hotter output from active basses (as many are), rest easy. I’ve never come across an active bass that the Rumble can’t handle, and judicious use of the gain control tames any unruly preamp or pickup (remember that the gain control works as a variable input pad). I’ve actually used the older SBMM Ray4, which had a really hot preamp, with different Rumbles without any problems at all.

I ended up with similar settings on my R500H for similar reasons, I run more upper mids and tremble though. It slices through the mix.
