Fender Rumble Club

Rumble 800 head and Rumble 410 cab. Still contemplating whether I’m gonna return the cab and go with the new cabs. I used Ampeg for years but I needed something fresh and something that holds the low end down now matter how much you dial in the cut.fender figured that out with both the Bassman pro and rumble units. I couldn’t be happier with my tone

I am looking for a new amp and have been torn between fender rumble 8000 and Hartke tx600. Currently have hartke ha3500.

I am looking for a new amp head and have been torn between fender rumble 8000 and Hartke tx600. Currently have hartke ha3500 and hartke 410xl.
Main basses are Fender Aerodyne, Mustang, and Mark Hoppus Precision. Also a Schecter diamond series that I am currently trying to sell

I used to rock the same rig you have, then went to the Hartke HyDrive cabinet with the HA3500. Great rigs, both of them. I played GK1001rbii through a GK410 neo, the same head through an Eden 410 XLT cabinet. Then an Eden WT550 through that Eden cabinet. Loved something about all of those. I ended up going lightweight with the Stage 800 combo with a 210 cabinet underneath. I can get something of all of those cabs and heads in one unit. If you like the Hartke sound, the Clean Focus setting is close.

OooOoo, descender, that is a killer small rig! Yes, that should provide a most excellent tone and plenty of SPL!

But, if you think the 410 is a bit too heavy and/or bulky for you, I recommend no other Rumble cab(s) than the 210(s). They are the exact same speakers as in the Rumble Stage 800, which also runs up to 400W at 8 ohms just like your Rumble 800 HD. Don't let the published rating of 350W continuous on the 210 bother you, that's just ultra conservative from their first issue back in 2014 to match the 500 at 8 ohms. Fender wouldn't put 'em in the Stage 800 if they couldn't handle 400W. I wouldn't go for the 115, though, as I think it's 300W rating is just a bit too low.

Rumble 8000!?!?! Is that ten of the Rumble 800 HD heads??? :woot:

Seriously, John, if you're considering a single Rumble 800 HD to push your Hartke 410xl, just make sure it can take 400W continuous (800W program) if it's 8 ohms. If it's 4 ohms make sure it can take the full 800W continuous (1600W program). Otherwise you'll need to ride herd on the Master Volume and Gain to keep it low enough to avoid speaker damage! :whistle:

BTW, "Clean Focus" is preset #8 out of 100 stock presets that come with the Rumble Studio 40 and Stage 800. Not to mention the hundreds of other presets available for free download directly to your Stage or Studio amp from the Fender TONE App community online! :thumbsup:

I would remove and replace it. I would probably use the 3M style industrial type pieces. They come with a strong adhesive, but I would probably staple anyway. I use it on my motorcycle even for high wind exterior applications. Available at Radio Shack type stores in black or clear.

Hi everyone, I just posted this in @John Paul S thread and figured I'd post it here too to see what anybody has to say about this or if they experienced it themselves:

I bought a Rumble 800 head and I received it dead on arrival (so I thought), no output from the speaker jacks. Exchanged it for a Quilter Bass Block 802 which I am happy with. Now after looking closer at the manual, there is a passage that states the power amp is run in bridged mode, with positive voltage on both conductors. If you short them out bad things will happen, but they don't state what. It says always make speaker connections when the power is off, and if you're using 1/4 plugs make sure the sleeves are insulated. https://www.fmicassets.com/Damroot/Original/10001/OM_23720XX000_Rumble_800_Head.pdf

I have no way of proving if this is what made the amp die (anyone wanna try?), but if an amp has the risk of dying because you forget to plug in the speaker when the amp is off, it would not be an amp I would consider using live. Bearing in mind this is user error, but seems like an error mostly everyone could make.

Hi All, I have a question? I just purchased the Stage 800 which I think is awesome but I am having trouble with setting the Effects. I downloaded how to setup the effects foot pedal but once I pick the first foot switch I can't get to the pedals. What am I doing wrong?

You should be able to find the full manual for online. In it will be a full explanation of how the pedal works.

Basically, you pick a preset or saved tone with 1 or more effects on it. The far left button on the footswitch changes modes and FX mode is effects mode. From there the three buttons should bypass/enable effects when you press them
