I have the 500 head and the 115 /210 cabs.
I gotta say that I like the head with one cab at a time more than with both in. It's probably the room i'm in,but it gets too bassy too fast.
I slightly prefer the 210 on its own to the single 115 but they are really very close in tone (at least from 5-8 feet from cab). The 210 has a slightly quicker, cleaner response. When I put the 115 up on a stand its damn near close in tone I must admit.
I am positive once I fire it up in a larger room with a gorilla drummer, the second cab will be better welcomed.
I put my 115 up for sale to get another 210 but i'm not so sure it's necesssary now.
I'm sitting here in the same exact spot as you, SV777, except I don't have the second cab yet, but tax refund $ on standby.
I thought about adding the 210 to give me a couple of sonic choices, and then comine the two when I needed the extra brawn, but then worried about mixing drivers might cause mass panic in Iowa.
So maybe grab a 210, decide which is better, and then pick up a second winner. Anyone with a thought to help stone my GAS?
