Fender Rumble Club

Okay if it weren't for this thread, I wouldn't have known the Rumble 500 head was discontinued. The only head left is the Rumble Stage 800? That's overkill for almost every venue I am willing to play. I know I can turn down, but it's not like I am pushing the 500 even close to hard at all.

I wonder why they discontinued the smaller wattage heads.

I guess they are appealing to the "mine's bigger than yours" mindset....

Don't get me wrong, my 500C was the "biggest" Rumble I could get when I bought it. I just can't picture needing, or wanting anything on stage with me, well honestly even this powerful. Sometimes think I would have been more than fine with the 200c...

When I powered it on a couple days later at home it won't fully power up. I here a click, the fan starts, and I can see a red light on one of the boards. Nothing happens with the display and no sound from the speakers when played. I took it for service but Fender will not warranty it. Has anybody run into a similar situation? Any suggestions on possible causes/fixes? I'm hoping something just shook loose but it is 2020 right? ;-)

I don't think the Stage 800 has been around long enough for the warranty to expire. Why won't they warranty it?

I stand corrected. The warranty is no longer 5 years, but 2, and Fender Released the Rumble Stage 800 in Jan 2018, so it could be an early release unit that has run the warranty out...

Stinks that they reduced the warranty that much. Doesn't speak well for them to not stand behind their product quite so solidly...

Dear Fender,
Please make a Rumble preamp/DI stompbox.
I love my 500 v3 head, but rather than buy an 800 as a backup, it would be nice if I could use one of my GK heads, and have a little Rumble stompbox in the loop so that I could simply hit a "Vintage" button to warm up the GK.
Or maybe you'd like me to buy an 800.
I guess you'd like me to buy an 800.

I told myself I'll sell the 500 when the 800 arrives. Yeah, right! Nope, can't bring myself to sell it. The 800 is a REALLY nice head though, just sayin.:rolleyes:

Just to be clear, the Stage 800 is the modelling combo and big brother of the Studio 40. The head is called 800 HD. But it only delivers 800 watts at 4 Ohms. At 8 Ohms, like with a single Rumble 210, it delivers 400, which is powerful, to be sure, but not unduly so, and not that far away from the old 500 head, which delivered 500 watts at 4 Ohms and 350 at 4, like the 500c.

Just to clarify my earlier post about wanting Fender to make a Rumble stompbox, here's my dream. $79.99 plus tax. :D (Only half joking. I would use it extensively.)

I've actually had it just over a year. Since I bought it on Reverb they consider it to be a used unit. They only warranty to the original purchaser. I assume they mean from a Fender authorized dealer.
