Just thought I would share a quick Rumble review (as an audience member):
I listened to a jazz/funk trio last night in a converted warehouse...drums, bass, guitar, moderately loud, no instruments in the PA.
The bass player was playing a 6-string bass (I think an Ibanez) through a Rumble combo, either a 200 or 500. In spite of the poor acoustics of the warehouse, the bass was clear and distinct and not muddy/boomy at all. He liked using his B string a lot and the Rumble really reproduced those notes with authority. He also did some slapping, and the pops punched right through.
I was very impressed with the sound, and I wish I could have stayed to find out if it was a 200 or 500 and ask him about his settings. I've been using my Rumble 100 for home practice and some semi-acoustic trio work, but hearing that amp last night renewed by interest in a bigger Rumble.
