Fender Rumble Club

You know, you'd figure they would have enclosed the backs of those fake stacks and used them to haul / contain gear while in transit... I don't mind fake stacks as much of what the audience hears in larger venues is coming through the FOH PA anyway.

I love my 500 with the 210. Its ridiculous how loud this thing gets. I only hook the 210 up at gigs due to it being too loud to open it up at home. It adds a fullness to the sound while its hooked up and makes a sexy stand when its not.

On the too loud when hooked up issue, there is a MAIN volume knob on the 500 combo. I know out of first hand experience how tough it is not to keep twisting it to the right, the effect is intoxicating, but try it, at low volume that added 210 adds a fullness I can't explain, but boy is it ever there...

Iam so happy happy happy with my 2 v3 100s that I have permagrin!!! :smug:
Have never been so satisfied with an amp ever. Just makes you want to :bassist::hyper::bassist::hyper::bassist:

Ive owned an Ampeg SVT stack, GK, Carvin, Peavey, Eden and even two Fender Bassman tubes with 2 2x15 back in the day and I would trade them all for these luscious machines of perfection! Hell I even sound better and I suck.
Ok I feel better now.drool

Got my 200 V3 combo today...quick jam tonight before my Thurs night gig tomorrow...it definitely goes louder than the 100 with some authority. Besides that it has the same buttery tone...it is taller but about the same width and depth as my Ampeg B100r. I can't wait to break 'er in tomorrow night.

I almost talked myself into ordering mine today. I don't think I need the 200. But maybe. I sold my Ampeg B100r about 2 months ago and I am still up in the air. 100 or 200? It will be one or the other Rumble. At least I've narrowed it down.

Make it easy.. Get the 500.

Linnin- It's a FIRST generation Rumble 100 amp. Bought it brand new in 2006.
Welcome to the Fender Rumble Club, Alba McBass! :woot: You are member #380 :hyper:
It's always fun to audition some new amps. Grab your bass and favorite headphones and check out everything in your price range. Just buy what you like best. The new Version 3 Fender Rumbles are the best selling line of bass amplification on the planet, and are market leaders across three categories for: wattage; weight, and price.

 Rumble On!

Greg-what are you using it for? The 100 can hang with a regular drummer (especially if you can get the amp close to a wall or corner). It is so light, I smile everytime I have to move it...it is less than 1/3 of the weight of my B100r! You can also use the xlr to hit the PA if there is a FOH system.

The 200 sounded great at home and had a very similar tone to the 100 but just bigger and louder...I like that. I had a 500 and it was different (but the jury is out as to maybe I had a bad 500). The 200 is super light also...I'll have my first gig report tonight.

I've been playing bass at jam sessions lately. Sometimes I am the only bass player. I want to be sure I have enough power to fill a medium sized club without PA support. I have always liked 15s and the way they feel, but 22 pounds sounds ideal. I don't use a lot of treble; I like an old school tone, and I want it to be felt without being way loud. I expect to be playing more soon. I know 12s have come a long way, but I still wonder if they can put out the bass that really moves me and gets people out of their chairs. If so, the 100 might be enough for now. I'll be looking forward to hearing how the 200 did for you.

You play a 5 string right? I know with my Ibanez SR480, the Rumble 200 and Rumble 500 sound exactly the same volume differences aside. The 500 has more power and more speaker area. (I am guessing at the more speaker area, I don't want to do the math. I quit doing problems like that once I got my degree...).

I sure wish you could get your hands on a different 500 combo to see if it was something design wise or your specific unit that had some kind of gremlin...
