That porting makes a great deal of sense in a very compact and light weight 410 cabinet. There's also a lot of good to be said of the slot porting of the second generation 410 too. Made in Mexico just like my Rumble 112 Neo.
As far as ceramic magnet driven drivers go, they're good! Ceramic magnets have been around a long time, since the late 1940's. Here's a thread I started on various magnet types. Invalid Link Removed
Eminence has two factories: one in Eminence, Kentucky U.S.A., and another somewhere in China. It has been widely suspicioned that Fender's "Special Design" woofers in Rumbles past have been from Eminence's Chinese facility. The Chinese are excellent potters. In fact they may have invented fine ceramics, as that is why we even call it fine 'China' today. Also 90% of the world's neodymium is mined and smelted in China. So China is very important to world wide woofer manufacturing.
I also want to point out that the settings on the head are what I ended up playing with last Tuesday that sounded so darn good. I may goof around with it tomorrow at practice but I doubt that I will. I may have found that sweet spot in the amp/cab combination and tone that I really like so why mess with a good thing.

One note! Beware of push buttons on the Rumble heads. They seem to be week and sloppy. I`ve had my Rumble 500 head for a little more than a month now an the contour button is already malfunctioning.

No, no one knows for sure. Mid April is the new ETA so hang in there! I'm sure that Rumble 100 is going to be a killer compact bass amp that will astound many.

I think I already have a number ,in the forties maybe.I already have Two 350 combo's and a Rumble 30.They are heavy.I'm 70 and looking forward to the 22 lbs of the 100. That I can handle! The Fender amps have always been great.Even fifty years ago they sounded great ,but Heavy! Back then I think mainly combo amps were used?

Don't understand why the 150 combo gets no love? I gigged with mine this past Saturday night and it performed perfectly, easily heard over drums and guitars and kept my bass sitting perfectly in the mix. Granted I play my Musicman Stingray with this band, but its hard rock. No Mic, not in to board, straight stage volume in a medium sized venue. Volume set to @10:00, everything else flat. Only effect I use is a Sans Amp Bass DI, only as an effect to brighten up my tone.
Well Eric, there is plenty of Fender Rumble Love here. The Fender Rumble 150 Combo is the very best selling bass combo on the planet and single handedly outsold the entire Ampeg line. Now how's that for some serious Rumble love? Some people don't want to believe that the Fender Rumble 150: a) Sounds Great, b) is damn loud while sounding great, c) looks super sexy while sounding great, d) is super reliable; road-worthy, and gig-worthy while sounding great and looking super sexy. Did I miss anything?
