Hey! Thanks for the membership. I used to play in a blues trio before the turn of the century, then kinda stopped playing for many years. I recently took it back up just for fun. I still have my old SVT rig stored away in my closet, but the R 40 is all I need these days!

Thanks G-Dog, it's good to be here. I've played bass on and off for 35 years. I had a 10 year break (had kids, mortgage, etc) and then took it back up again three years ago. The break was great. It's taken me a while to get my chops back but I now approach playing from a completely different mindset. In a very positive way. I have a Fender P 50s reissue with flats. It's my third bass in three years but I think this one's a keeper. I cycled through a few amps in the last three years as well. I've had an old Peavey (too heavy, had to go), a Bugera (horrible), mark bass (pretty decent) GK MB (nice, but was too small - my guitarist likes it), and since the weekend a Rumble 500. Haven't rehearsed or gigged with the Rumble yet. Band practice is tonight, and our next gig is in a couple of weeks.

I haven't done that, but what I have done is put a loop around the handle and leave some slack between the loop and the input jack so even if I pull on it, there is no stress on the cable at all.

Yes. However, it doesn't clear the cab body. It has to go out the back or right by the GAIN knob.

Not yet. The only dual 90° cables I've got are 6 inchers for a pedal board. Dang difficult to use to connect a bass to an amp. :roflmao:

I did it. Yes I did.

Ordered a Rumble 500c. It should arrive today. Gonna check out these so called 10” speakers and 500 watts folks have been writing about. If it turns out to be something to keep I aim to introduce it to my trusty Rumble 115 and turn the place upside down.

I considered a 200c, of course but decided to go for the power. I had previously tried out the 500c but wasn’t too impressed overall. But there was so much bashing and crashing and distractions at the shop I honestly didn’t give the 500c the chance and attention it deserved…and the basses at the shop were not setup properly in as far as my preferences.

Take your own, if possible. And remember, FLAT is not all at "noon".

Well, Chuck, yer gonna have to innerduece yer Rumble 500 combo to yer thrusty Rumble 115 if'n yer gonna check out them there 500 watts! Otherways, yer just gonna git only a measley 350 watts, what is all I've ever needed with my loud country cover band. :woot:
