Fender Rumble Club

So, following up on the horn issue. got up this morning and this was on my door step. Factory fresh 800 combo.

I'll never question their support and they just made a customer for life!

:woot: Great, Pelly! The Fender warranty pays off, again. "Gimme the deets, boy, and thrill my soul! I wanna get lost in your rock 'n roll ... and drift away ... ... "

Do ya gotta send 'em back the first 800? Can you compare 'em first to see all the differences? Does an instrument cable from FX Send of the new one to FX Return of the first one still present any of the problems of the first one? Please let us know. ;)

Hey! yeah, unbelievable! I'll run some tests today, and the last email said not to send the other one back. I even pulled the old tweeter in prep to replace it.

I'll try the effects send and see what happens. Dies that effectively create two standalone Rumbles for a total of 800 watts and the capability to drive each down to 2.67 ohm? if so, I'm building the Wall of Sound! lol

We..ee..ell, it's almost kinda like two standalone Rumbles, but actually just one preamp running two power amps; so not really standalone. The Master volume still works on each combo, running up to 400w each. It should really only relieve any problems with the first 800's preamp.

But, yes, you can still attach a minimum 4 ohm 533w extension cab load to each Rumble 800! Enjoy!!

or 2- 8ohm cabs at 300 w minimum for each Rumble? :D

Yes, or a pair of 8 ohm 267w minimum cabs for each combo, ... ... which, of course, just happens to equal a 4 ohm 533w minimum total load per. Such as a pair of Rumble 210 cabs for each combo. Can you imagine 1600w thru 12x10" speakers? (But NOT any 2 ohm cabs of any wattage under any circumstances!) Please include pix!!;):roflmao::cool::woot:

You're up early on a Sunday morning, Mr. Dog.

Yep! Every Sunday since I got this new church gig early this summer! And today we're having D.O.G*! Mrs. Dog was cooking all day yesterday and up very early today for the finishing touches. Ah! Food for the body and the soul!

*"Dinner On the Grounds" - but technically in the Kitchen/Fellowship room of the church, although it's almost cool enough outside! But the smell of the very nearby smoldering wildfires is still too strong!!!

Thank you @JakobT. I appreciate the info. How did it compare with the Rumbles you are using now?
I often used them together, but the times I used it with other amps, it didn’t feel particularily Fender-esque. I wouldn’t expect it to, as it’s not really a preamp, and shouldn’t be regarded as one. It’s more like three effect pedals rolled into one, with a DI thrown in.

Thank you, sir...I wasn't impressed with the demo either so I will stick with what I have ;).
