Fender Rumble Club

 Can you 'splain that? Don't make so sense to me.
They have a higher resistance to the signal. These types of cords were very popular in the late '60's and early 70's and the cutting of the lower frequencies acted like a high pass filter for guitar and helped to yield that somewhat intangable tone that Jimi, Jimmy, and Eric got. Stevie Ray Vaughn swore by them. I swear at them.

Yes, I remember in the early-mid 70s, they were very popular. I used them for a while, but found you were pretty much stuck in one place on the stage. I did actually forget about it once and walked around a mic stand and pulled it over.
That was the last one I ever bought. This is it in this picture.

That's an amazing pic.

I just read that the old coiled cables had a high capacitance (not resistance). That affected the tone. Likely these newer cables do not have that problem.

However, it is very easy to imagine their super power to grab anything on stage in their reach - and more importantly they sometimes pop out due to the increased tension and fly across the stage.

I already have dexterity issues on stage. I don't need help being a threat to the stuff around me. I once had a guitarist whisper in my ear in the middle of a song that if I moved into his space again he was going to kick me off the stage (in a literal way). It was surprising and kind of funny because he really meant it. Miss those days.

That's it - the cable must go. No joking, if anyone wants it PM me a mailing address.

Wow!!! Holy Toledo!!! Amen and Halleluia!!!
Finally got my two Rumble 115's and they blow me away!!!
Linnin, you and the other guys weren't kidding.
They sound incredible and loud.
Just what the doctor ordered and the sound I was looking for.
Attached is a picture with the two stacked with an Acoustic B600H head, the Epiphone EB-3 and Squier VM Jazz bass.
Sir Linnin, May I have the honor of becoming a member of the Rumble club?

Me too, I love to roam around on-stage & off while we are playing....I just can't stand still! I use a wireless, so many good ones out there for cheap......

hello to all rumble believers.
after almost 6mo of searching for small head and testing all sort of them, i must say that, two days ago, i finally settled with rumble 350. man, now i got little buddy for home practice and for gigging.
yesterday i tested it with a full band, on 2 8ohm cabs (hartke 4x10 and 1x15 with tweeters), and even my drummer (one of loudest sort) had a smile on his face. this was the right thing to get.
i had really good database here on TB and in this club, so thank you guys for helping me in my decision.

For those of you with the Rumble 500, what is the loudest you have ever had your amp? With every other knob at noon, I have never had to have my master past 10 o'clock. (Alone, without extension cab.)

I have had mine at 3 notches from full open at a very loud club in JAX with no FOH connection needed. People assumed I was connected to FOH.....Not.
