More than you can stand.Looking at doing small to medium-sized venues. What do you all think of the 500 v3? Will I get enough volume out of it?

I live in Houston, so there's about 10 GC locations within 20 miles of me. All of the Jags are special orders though and none of them carry them here locally. I may look into some other stores here in the area and see if they have what I'm looking for though.

check any local stores to see if any carry the ibanez talman tmb30. I test drove a tmb100 for a while at a small store here and really liked it a LOT.
Exactly what I did for my VM fretless, got a great deal, had time to try it out, and it was a keeper. Had a friend of mine who is a bass genius set it up, swap out the hardware and electronics and put in Fender Custom Shop 60's. It was fine out of the box, but since I had all the components lying around.... why not. Great sounding and playing bass. While there may bet a lot of negative commentary about GC, the good things are that you get free shipping from store-to-store,and you get to try before you buy plus you have a 30 day return period. Never be afraid to call the stocking store and ask the manager there for a lower price by making a reasonable offer. Once it gets to your store if you find it needs a setup, get that store to throw it in for free. Good things can happen if you know how to ask politely but firmly.
What is the brand of the 4x12 cabinet? What is it's ohms rating?I've got a 4x12 cab around that I'd like to fire up but have no amp head
Gotta Love Fender Rumble 112's!I know now that my suspicions were dead on, I will be needing another 1-12

Something tells me this is a guitar cabinet, not a bass cabinet. It's a Sound City 412, 16 ohm.
Did a little googling, it appears you are sitting on a possible vintage gem of a guitar cabinet that might be worth a little cash depending on which speakers are in it. It would be better to try to sell it, and you might damage the speakers trying to push low end through it anyway. Probably wouldn't kill it with a rumble 30 at 16 ohms, but really not worth the hassle of taking apart a decent practice amp, making its 10" speaker useless (you can't run both without risking amp shutdown/overheat) etc...It's a Sound City 412, 16 ohm.
Rumble 700.More Rumble goodness came in today, the 500 head I ordered last Sunday. Did a side by side comparison with my 500 combo using my 1-12 cab and while the tone and volume where nearly identical, the head and 1-12 sounded a bit more focused, (for lack of a better term) I know now that my suspicions were dead on, I will be needing another 1-12[/URLm![]()

Pete Townsend might be interested.Yeeup.. protect that cab.. sell it and find you a real bass cab.. or.. keep that cab if you also play guitar! But either way, don't ruin that guitar cab!
Pete Townsend might be interested.
So would Pete Townsend. Nothing wrong with liking vintage gear. Apparently that was a hiwatt spinoff brand. Might be worth a couple/few hundred pounds in the UK that might fund a rumble 200 combo.I have a couple of guitar players in my band that dig stuff like that!

Didn't Sound City make cabs that were for both bass and guitar? At least that's what I thought I remembered.

Maybe maybe not, but a 16ohm 412 is not a likely candidate for a bass cab if so. And all the results I saw on goggle were very guitar ish.Didn't Sound City make cabs that were for both bass and guitar? At least that's what I thought I remembered.
