It is a beautiful thing.Rumble noise issue update:
As I’ve mentioned before, I was having an issue with a scratching noise coming from my Rumble 500 combo, but after a month of having the amp with a local tech, the issue was not resolved. I contacted Fender’s customer service and as of now have a brand new Rumble 500 combo that works perfectly, and the old amp has been shipped back to Fender where they are going to test it to figure out what the issue is. Huge thanks to Fender for helping me out with this, their customer service went above and beyond![]()

I knew what it was before. But I had it well in check. Before I joined TalkBass I didn't even know what G.A.S. was. It's too late now.![]()
I have a bit of static here and there when adjusting the master volume here lately but twisting the control back and forth clears it up right away. I think it's just the fan sucking dust into it.Rumble noise issue update:

Obviously the fender custom shop geddy Lee signature bass.I splurged with the 100 watt afterall. Saw it used on GC yesterday, and decided to look for a 40 this time around just to see the 100 come down in price a bit more. It's getting delivered to my local GC up the road for $185 after shipping and taxes.
Now, to just figure out which bass I want.
But seriously, since you were mentioning rondo and SX, there really isn't anything else in that price range I can think of new.I splurged with the 100 watt afterall. Now that I have my new (to me) Rumble 200 combo, I'll be putting my modified V2 Rumble 75 up for local sale on Craigslist and local facebook pages.

A Squier VM or CV would be very good choices, just be sure to try them all out and check all the frets and hardware. Let your hands and ears guide you. There are 65 used Squier basses listed at GC. The majority being around $200.

While there may be a lot of negative commentary about GC, the good things are that you get free shipping from store-to-store,and you get to try before you buy plus you have a 30 day return period. Never be afraid to call the stocking store and ask the manager there for a lower price by making a reasonable offer. Once it gets to your store if you find it needs a setup, get that store to throw it in for free. Where in the world do you live that you can't get to a GC? Guam? Can't play any of them before I buy them
