I started another thread on it.. but I think that most just think that it is another thread about a Rumble amp! LOL.. but if it got chattered up.. a lot would be like.. what it the world so special about that Rumble???
I did. That just means it desperately needs a re-tube, and a thorough going over by a well qualified tube amp tech.Don't know if you noticed or not.. but it still has the original Fender tubes in the amp too!

Or play their prejudices against them. Power section designed by Bill Hughes, the very same engineer that designed the ampeg SVT. The Fender Rumble is a much improved design. Pre-amp designed by Bruce Zinky. I have heard that he hand built each each and every one himself.Maybe they'll read past their prejudices.
If you are in southern California, I trust Paul Morte. 946 N Main St, Orange, CA 92867 - (714) 532-9540
He is seriously trustworthy.
But keep those original tubes! THAT, friends, is provenance!
I insisted too run the amp through the xlr output and into the PA instead of the DI box the soundguy had provided and as both musician and audience member for the night I just gotta say; WHAT A PHENOMENAL bass-sound! all the bands bassists sounded phenomenal into my Rumble and then into the PA! Like a first class professional bassrig. rumblepower for the win!
Also the soundguy wondered how the heck that little basscombo played that loud, since it was kinda playing louder than the pa system when some of the bassists turned it up ;-)

Ah, so that's why the amps crackle a bit when adjusting the master volume. It's not crackle. It's class d knashing of teeth from an amp pissed off because the player won't let it roarAlso the soundguy wondered how the heck that little basscombo played that loud, since it was kinda playing louder than the pa system when some of the bassists turned it up ;-)
