Fender Rumble Club

It's a rainy Independence Day here in Virginia, USA. I've got my roundwound bass (GHS Bass Boomers) hooked up to my V2 Rumble 75 combo in the kitchen, and my flatwound Precision (GHS Precision Flats) hooked up to my V3 Rumble 200 in the bedroom. Amps have been on for a few hours now and I'm just going back and forth between the two as the mood strikes. Pretty nice set up actually.

Interesting Rumble story: I play sax in a band that has an awesome bassist. I never play bass in this band. So, we played a local gig Friday night and the bassist was using an Ampeg combo. The dude sounded and played great.

On Sunday, we played at City Market in Savannah for the Wild Wing Cafe. It is an outdoor event. I look over and the bassist has a Rumble 200 combo for this gig. I asked him what happened--he said the ampeg started cutting out on Saturday and he picked the Rumble up at the last minute.

Long story short: he sounded even better--and it was plenty of volume for a classic rock band playing outdoors. The band has 3 Bose l1 stage monitors and 2 of the new Bose Flex FOH. Relatively loud and the Rumble 200 was sounding great.
