Fender Rumble Club

I do believe it is Fender Friday! :bassist:

Oh, right you are. There are Fenders in the picture after all.

I bought a Bassman 500 Hybrid with this year's income tax refund and for my humble purposes I am 100% completely satisfied with it. If I turn it up past "3" on the MASTER dial, everything in my living room rattles and shakes. And that's with my passive basses plugged into the -6dB INPUT 2! The amp is a tone monster and I can get tones past the limits of tastefulness at each end of the very broad tone palette. I particularly like how you can set each channel VOLUME separately so once you find settings on each channel you like, you can have them play at the same volume or have one louder than the other, your choice. For in-home practice, I set the VOLUMEs to make the final output volume equal. This has been a love affair that's lasted over 2 months and shows no signs of abating.

I pump the Bassman through an all-Rumble lineup of cabinets. When I get a few $$ ahead, I'm getting a 2nd Rumble 115 and this, I'm quite certain, will quench my GAS amplifier thirst for, I'm guessing, the rest of my life.

When I go out to just play with friends, I take one of the Rumble combos [usually the Rumble 40] because it is absolutely enough for the job and it is just so easy to schlep around and it sounds so good.

Yeah, Scott, I find my Rumble 500 combo being my go-to amp now for most every venue, small to large. It's definitely ''got the goods to do the job'' at a reasonable weight and terrific price!

It's just that I keep dreaming of all the extra bells and whistles of the Bassman that I've become so accustomed to with my Bassman combos! The Bassman 500 was the target when I bought the Bassman 115 neo, which sounds great with the Rumble, by the way. I'm the only Rumbler I've heard of using a Bassman neo extension!!

Whenever someone here wishes Fender would add this or that to the Rumbles I think, ''Yeah, the Bassman's got that and more, but not at the Rumble price.'' I consider the Bassman prices reasonable for what you get. But the Rumbles are a tremendous value!

fixed.
You're welcome.

The two may not be all that different.

I mean, I don't know of any impending doom, either to my own health or to civilization as a whole, but at my age and in these Invalid Link Removed, it's pretty hard to make any long-term commitments.

I guess.

Really, if you're getting an income tax refund, you're doing it wrong!
You are letting the government use YOUR money without paying you interest!

If I had more of an interest in fiscal responsibility, I'd be retired, chillin' in my chateau in Provençe with one of every bass and amp ever made!

$1,000 is a pretty good price for the Bassman 800.

That's what I thought the Bassman 800 would go for. The release day for it, isn't that far down the road.

I'd like to see what it's 8 ohm wattage is rated at. I'm guessing 450-500 watts @ 8 ohms.
