I bought a Bassman 500 Hybrid with this year's income tax refund and for my humble purposes I am 100% completely satisfied with it. If I turn it up past "3" on the MASTER dial, everything in my living room rattles and shakes. And that's with my passive basses plugged into the -6dB INPUT 2! The amp is a tone monster and I can get tones past the limits of tastefulness at each end of the very broad tone palette. I particularly like how you can set each channel VOLUME separately so once you find settings on each channel you like, you can have them play at the same volume or have one louder than the other, your choice. For in-home practice, I set the VOLUMEs to make the final output volume equal. This has been a love affair that's lasted over 2 months and shows no signs of abating.
I pump the Bassman through an all-Rumble lineup of cabinets. When I get a few $$ ahead, I'm getting a 2nd Rumble 115 and this, I'm quite certain, will quench my GAS amplifier thirst for, I'm guessing, the rest of my life.
When I go out to just play with friends, I take one of the Rumble combos [usually the Rumble 40] because it is absolutely enough for the job and it is just so easy to schlep around and it sounds so good.
$1,000 is a pretty good price for the Bassman 800.Yay!! Fender Friday!!!

I think it will be 600 watts @ 8 ohms.I'd like to see what it's 8 ohm wattage is rated at. I'm guessing 450-500 watts @ 8 ohms.

We should start a poll for laughs on the estimated wattage.![]()
