In the 3 years (2010-2013) of their manufacture they were the number one selling bass amp in total world wide sales. They sound fabulous and are plenty loud enough for a typical bar/dance club gig. One watt per person occupancy is a good rule of thumb. Usually anything of 250 people and above will require PA support no matter what amp you're using.

You could easily keep your Rumble 150 for rehearsal & gigs, and just pick up a V3 Rumble 40 for personal practice. This is a very popular option for many bass players even those that use a different brand of amp for their gig-rig.

The V3 Rumble 200 combo is 140 watts into it's internal Eminence 15" woofer. This newly designed cabinet and woofer combination is killer for tone and SPL. If you haven't played through one, you should. See if you like the differences between the two. Also the 36 pound Rumble 200 will seem a lightweight miracle compared to the 60 pound Rumble 150. You get the full 200 watts with the addition of an 8 ohm extension speaker cabinet. That's a capability you just don't have with the Rumble 150. Both have D-Class ICE Power sections for clean, transparent, and reliable power.

The Rumble 500 is just more of a good thing. Same front end. 350 watts into it's internal 2x10 Eminence drivers. 500 watts when a 8 ohm extension speaker cabinet is utilized. Too much of a good thing is barely enough!

So take your pick, as you can't loose.

I'm thinking the V3 200 is the most direct equivalent to the V2 150 with the benefit of handling an extra cab, plus lower weight as stock combo.

I saw my first R200 in person today and was surprised by its small size and, of course, I just had to pick it up. :)

The BIG sound that comes out of such a small & light box is truly amazing to an old tube boomer like me.

Orange county CA Rumblers and rumble curious can see me doing double duty on 1/13 Friday the 13th in Costa Mesa at the tiki bar. @Scott Truesdell stomping ground.

Opening the show with Rozen's Bridge at 8 and co headlining with Toxicity (system of a down tribute) at 10:30. 2 other original bands playing in between, and Ed Force One is closing out the double bill with a set of Iron Maiden.

Rumble 200/112 mini stack and xlr out unless soundguy insists on a mic.

$7, by grabthar's hammer, what a bargain!

The volume is impressive, is it not? As I said in an earlier post, my 500 combo (with 210 extension cab) has a thunder that you can literally feel in your chest.

After the gig a few weeks ago, I was just floored at how I could hear it and feel it behind me. We had two bands open for us that night, and the rumbles just blew their rigs off the stage, everyone was impressed.

These Rumbles are impressive in every way, not too mention that there is no more lugging that big Ampeg set up around in the back of the truck. I can get everything in the Ol Lady's car now. I was wondering what I was sacrificing by switching to this smaller set up. Turns out...not a damn thing. In fact, I think the overall situation is an upgrade. I am pimping the Rumbles to anyone willing to listen.

Again, like you...I'm in a loud metal type band...these things are holding their own. I love the rig. Truly do.

So why have you not requested a number?
I also use the 500c with the 2x10 ext. Once, in a large room, I had to turn it all the way up t0 1!

Well, I just picked up a lil Rumble 25 for around the house duties, based on seemingly endless pages of excellent reviews on every site that sells them. This will pair with the Fender American Deluxe Jazz that I just bought off the TB classifieds which I will be picking up after work today. I haven't played bass in 8+ years and my intention is for this combo to help me get on my feet and back into fightin' shape.

Anyways... I know it's just an inexpensive practice amp, but may I have a number? :)

You're going to love that little 25. That's what I use for practice at the house.
