Fwiw my USA SUBs (active and passive versions) worked great with my V2 350 comboI have an EBMM Classic Sabre, and an EBMM Sub, both active. They both sound awesome with my Rumble 500c and 40, maybe even better than my Fender AmStd P, but it's a close thing.
Here ya go Shawn! There is a video on YT of a bassist called Chad Watson, using his Precision to try out a Rumble 200 & it sounded good. I have never heard of him but he certainly knows his way around the bass. The video was under Norms rare guitars I don't know how to post a link though.

Yeah, us old gray cats can really rock, especially with our vintage 1970's Fender Precisions and brand new Fender Rumble 200 combos!Ha! Seems like an awesome guy, and yeah, he knows his way around the bass!
Welcome Rumbler #738. Check out the Tone Pool. It has a lot of settings there. I use a 500c with a 2x10 extension. My typical settings are Horn off, Vintage on everything else off, bass 10, low mids 12, high mids 12, treble 12, gain 10, master 3 to 4 depending on the room. I play with a 3 piece classic rock group. Enjoy, and Rumble on!
I was at rehearsal with my rumble 100 and it just died, red lights flashing. I was using my Am Pro P bass, passive. Gain at noon, master volume at 2pm, vintage button on. What's the prognosis?
Where do they differ? I would like to see what yours sounds like. What bass do you use?Heh, our amp setups are almost identical.
If it is under warranty, take it to an authorized Fender service center. Most likely they will replace it.I was at rehearsal with my rumble 100 and it just died, red lights flashing. I was using my Am Pro P bass, passive. Gain at noon, master volume at 2pm, vintage button on. What's the prognosis?
Return for warranty repair or replacement as others have already stated, but you would do well to consider moving up to the Rumble 200 as you were pushing your little Rumble 100 pretty hard. More amp is never a bad thing.I was at rehearsal with my rumble 100 and it just died, red lights flashing. I was using my Am Pro P bass, passive. Gain at noon, master volume at 2pm, vintage button on. What's the prognosis?
The 400hz lpf (though not a super aggressive lpf) is not conducive to cutting or being very articulate. It is more for that boomy old school sound mainly in the fundamental and first harmonic. It really depends on the style you are playing.Ive never used the "Vintage" button live, sounds great at bedroom volumes but wondering how this would cut or articulate in a live setting? It also seems to boost the gain quite a bit.
I sometimes use Vintage at stage volume together with the Contour, but it requires very significant subtractive EQ settings to include very low or no Gain. Let the power amp and master volume do the heavy lifting. Deep; Clean, and Powerful. Plenty of Punch/Attack if you EQ correctly. Add one Fender Precision strung in flats. Roll off the tone by 3/4 or about 1/4th open.Ive never used the "Vintage" button live, sounds great at bedroom volumes but wondering how this would cut or articulate in a live setting? It also seems to boost the gain quite a bit.
I keep mine on all the time. It articulates quite well.Ive never used the "Vintage" button live, sounds great at bedroom volumes but wondering how this would cut or articulate in a live setting? It also seems to boost the gain quite a bit.

I had something similar happen to me yrs ago using a Peavey TNT115 My problem was what they call "dirty power" I was told the electrical outlet I was using the voltage "fluctuated" wildly and possibly poor grounding and not up to code" we practiced in a older building at the time. Not saying that's what happen to you- modern outlets are much more reliable and stable.I was at rehearsal with my rumble 100 and it just died, red lights flashing. I was using my Am Pro P bass, passive. Gain at noon, master volume at 2pm, vintage button on. What's the prognosis?
