Hi 2/12 months ago I bought a fender rumble stage 800 amp. I really love the amp and it's features, however 2 weeks ago the lcd screen went blank. I did some googling and found 4 people who had the same thing happen to their rumble amps and today I joined this group and found 1 guy that had the same thing happen to his rumble 800. I contacted the store where I bought my amp and fender is sending me a replacement amp. Like I said I love the amp and I'm glad I'm getting a new one, but I'm hoping the same thing doesn't happen to the replacement amp. So fender is aware of the problem they said it happens but it's not common. What I would like to know is, what is causing the problem? What is being done to fix it ? What can I do to avoid it from happening? Has anyone else had the same problem with their amp ?

Fender gave me a replacement amp, had it for about a month now , so far haven't noticed any problems with the new amp.
I flipped on a Stage 40 at the Fender dealer today & forgot how long it takes from power-up until you can get something out of it.
It's likely a hardware issue, but doubtful it's a cable, unless you mean a ribbon-cable that feeds the LCD display.
Definitely longer than ten seconds. I used to own a Studio 40 & the startup time bugged me.

Hi guys, after 3 days of light home use (but amp was turned on whole day) display on my Stage 800 is mostly black. There are few white strips and color dots on left side. After short turn off and on only logo Fender appears during boot and then return to black display with white strips.
Any idea how to solve it or just to pack it and send back to retailer?? Thanks.

I have a Studio 40 and have yet to experience that, but I rarely use the lcd display anyway as the Fender Tone App is so easy to use. Regardless, if it's under warranty, absolutely seek a replacement.
I realize this is an old thread but something similar happened to my Rumble Studio 40 today. Was messing around with Bluetooth on an old iPad to stream Audio when the screen went blank. Unplugged the amp for about 30 minutes and the screen was fine when I restarted. I've only had it for a week. Love the amp but that kinda freaked me out. Calling the guitar store tomorrow.
I've had this combo for some years now. Bought it used without a warranty. Screen has been dark for quite some time now. I memorized my presets using the footswitch, but without the screen, I've been unable to use any other features. I opened it up and could not discern any issues. Then the pandemic started, so I just sat stuff on top of it. I ended up just getting a TC Electronics set up, which I love. But I would like to get this screen repaired so that I can at least get a decent amount on a trade-in. If anyone has any advice, its appreciated...Thanks!

We just took the back off the studio 40 because we had an identical problem. It instantly started working before we had the chance to troubleshoot anything. I guess this is an encouragement to just take out the few screws, plug it in and see if it works. My guess is that the most minor shift in a cable back there caused something to connect that might not have been able to before. It's really impossible to know!
My screen just start to fade on the corners ... not sure if I should open the thing and try to remove and reinsert ribbons on the screen board ...
I just got one of these used with the LCD screen black. I was able to get the Bluetooth connected before I bought so I thought I'd give it a shot. However, this afternoon I plugged in the lineout from an Ampeg Amp in the effects return jack on the back of the amp just to test out the tone. Sounded amazing btw. However, to my surprise after rebooting the amp after unplugging the screen start working!! You might try it!
