Fender Rumble Studio Bass Combo - Extra Bass Speaker Cabinet

If the combo has a socket for an extension speaker cabinet you can use that to power such an extension. It should clearly state the impedance to use.

If it does not have an extension socket you cannot. Most combos use an internal driver that matches the minimum the amp can handle.

Hi, Tony. Welcome to TB.

That would appear to be a negatori on the extension cab, but you might well be able to use the Studio 40 as a preamp with another amp or a powered cab.

Welcome to Talkbass @TonyWBluebirds. No, you cannot add an extension speaker cabinet to The Rumble Studio 40. You would need to upgrade to the Rumble Stage 800 to gain that capability. You could just plug your XLR out into the PA, or you could use your Studio 40 as the master and another bass amp/combo as a slave. I do this with my Rumble Studio 40 into my Rumble 200 1x15 combo, and still able to be in the PA at the same time via the XLR out.

That's the best answer to this question.

Congratulations on your choice of the Rumble Studio 40. I enjoy mine tremendously! I (will) use a Rumble 500 combo if/when my Rumble Studio 40 needs more volume. So far, though, plugging the XLR Out (I prefer the Post, but a Pre is also available) into the FOH has been sufficient. Please join us in the Fender Rumble Club
