Fender Starcaster Modern Player

What happened to all the Starcasters (semi hollow)? They are nowhere to be found. I know the major retailers say they will have them soon but no used ones anywhere. Do people love them so much they are not getting rid of them?

I want one. I see the last one sold on here went 3 months ago. All Fender is showing in production now is the black model. I'll probably hold out for a used burst.

Well there has to be a reason there's no secondary market.

I actually like this one, just not enough to buy compared to other short-scale basses…at least for the origunal price.
$400 might work, though.

I’ve had a sunburst one since 2014, and absolutely love it. Great sounding pickups, versatile bass. Mine is strung with Thomastik flats, and I play it with a pick.

The whole Modern Player line was canx. Basses were to well made and competed with MIA and MIM. I had a natural one but it was a bit uncomfortable to play (large body and sharp edges). I got rid of my MP basses after Fender flooded the market with parts and pieces devaluing the basses some of us paid too much for in retrospect. Only Fender stuff I have left are a couple cables and Rumble amp.
