Fender style 6 string?

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by jenderfazz, Dec 15, 2004.

  1. Being a fan of the Fender sound and feel, I was just wondering which companies offer good Fender style 6 strings, possibly more modern (a la Sadowsky, Lull, etc) but keeping the essentials. Jazz pickups, glossy neck, traditional woods, 34" scale, and not too steep a price tag. Any suggestions?

  2. doesn't low end J have 6 string model?
and I'm pretty sure Atelier Z made 6 string J's also

Brian has a few 6 and 7 string traditional 34" scale Jazz basses about to be finished.

  4. Check out Brian's line, he offers 4, 5, 6 and 7 stringers.
My Lowend 7 is ready to go and I will have it next week.
:hyper: :hyper: :hyper: I have problems enclosing appropriate pics, may be James can help.

Other than Low Ends, which are beautiful...

I have heard that Mike Dolan has made a 6 string Jazzbass, Atelier Z also made one... I bet Rob Elrick could be convinced on his NJS models.

If warmoth does the parts, i bet Nino would build you a 6 string "fender" valenti.

FOLY HUCK'N "A" dude  , Fother Mucker.... I just flat out need one.

  17. Im suprised Fender hasn't picked up on the demand for six strings. I think it would be a good idea on their part to make a six string Jazz bass. Now that I think about it, Fender could use an all new model period...I think they've done just about everything they can with the J and P bodies, I think something new would be nice...but don't get me wrong I love the P's and the J's and the PJ's etc etc etc. ;)

now lets not forget the $10,000 custom shop Tye Zamora 6 string bass...

  19. but that bass isn't really a "fender style" even though it's made by fender

  20. Yeah thats a custom shop model...they'll make anything you want if you ask them...Im talking about a regular model...like a jazz bass
