Fender style 6 string?

Being a fan of the Fender sound and feel, I was just wondering which companies offer good Fender style 6 strings, possibly more modern (a la Sadowsky, Lull, etc) but keeping the essentials. Jazz pickups, glossy neck, traditional woods, 34" scale, and not too steep a price tag. Any suggestions?

I had the same idea only in a P bass

6 string fretless slab bodied P :smug:

Brian has a few 6 and 7 string traditional 34" scale Jazz basses about to be finished.

i'm in love!

i now know what i want my future custom to be like. but 24 frets, and a maple fretboard.!

Im suprised Fender hasn't picked up on the demand for six strings. I think it would be a good idea on their part to make a six string Jazz bass. Now that I think about it, Fender could use an all new model period...I think they've done just about everything they can with the J and P bodies, I think something new would be nice...but don't get me wrong I love the P's and the J's and the PJ's etc etc etc. ;)
