Well I only got to mess with it for about 20 minutes today before the young 'un had to go to bed.
So far so good. Played it with my P-bass through an Ampeg B100R.
Some initial impressions (in no particular order):
*Very full sound & it sounds like there is definitely a bass boost circuit of some kind in there.
*If you turn the big gain color wheel completely counter clockwise it's almost like a beefy pre-amp.
*The trim pots on the back (OD Tone & Xover Freq) are pretty sensitive. Seemingly more than the drive knob on the side.
*The light up color gain wheel on the top is pretty awesome for on the fly changes. The turn radius on it is only from about 10 o clock to 2 o clock. Not a complaint, and actually makes it more useful, but I guess I was under the impression that it would turn more. And sorry, I know it's gimmicky, but the color change thing is pretty cool.
*Yes it's big.
VERY big. But not as heavy as you may think.
* Korean made
* It can get pretty gritty, but it's definitely a fuzz. Which is what I wanted. No buzz saw Tech 21 XXL/Boss ODB sounds - at least not that I've had the time to discover yet.
* Doesn't seem to have a major loss of low end, though I've yet to try it really loud in a band setting.
* I'm going for a Kyuss meets Wetton-era Crimson type tone. So far I'm pretty happy. It's definitely on the stoner tip.
* Doesn't seem to have that signature Big Muff fuzz sound...and personally I was looking for something different than a Muff. It's definitely wooly, but seems to have a fairly unique voice.
* My settings so far:
Volume: noon
Drive: 11 o clock
Gain (top color wheel): 1 o clock
OD Tone: 11 o clock
X Over Freq: 11 o clock
I'm digging it so far, and I've gone through a LOT of fuzz/distortion pedals. We'll see how things are when the new car smell wears off.
I'll mess with it more this week, & I think we're playing Wednesday so I'll try to put it through its paces with the band then & get back to you.

My son loves to come in & "jam" with me on his little percussion toys when I play at home. Ironically enough he came in today while I was trying to mess with this pedal & kept turning the wheel to the left & yelling "Green Daddy! Green!"
Kinda funny....(at first.)
