This is a 1967 Fender V bass that I bought on Ebay. Originally strung with a low E and high C. I had it restrung to a low B - had to be slightly modified. I still have trouble playing it. Only 15 frets and not much room between strings. Anyone else out there play one?

No, but I'm old enought to remember them new. Seemed kind of an odd duck at the time, but I was fourteen:rolleyes:
Now I think it's a great aquisition and one that'll grow in value, even if it doesn't play quite normally. I think the E-C tuning was the design intent, to kinda bridge the gap to the Bass VI (which we would now consider a baritone guitar).

Great purchase!!
