Fender Vintage-Style With Bridge Covers

Try glueing a thin piece of foam to the underside of the chrome cover.

Yeah, that's a good tip. I've actually done that on one of my P-basses and it works great. I cut two thin strips of the foam that's used under pickups. Just a small piece around the area of each screw was enough to silence it. I honestly don't understand how people can use these covers without damping them somehow but I never see anyone mentioning it. The ping from the bridge cover on P-basses drives me INSANE.
