There are so many basses out there that it gets crazy. I started using a JV MIJ vintage P Bass, then i bought a stingray and i loved it. The active sound just got me and it felt way smoother to play. Next came along a status graphite bass 5 string. This is just in 2 years. Each week im attracted to each bass and jamming with the band to hear and feel how each bass goes with band. Either fender, stingray or G&L are 3 different and all good camps. Do a search on this forum as there is a lot of info to read to get ideas for yourself which bass may suit you.
Its a fun adventure trying out the different basses. Pick up different basses each time you go to a store to get a feel.
