Huh. Modded it with geared banjo tuners. Looks like a decent job. Almost seems worth the $350 just for kicks.

$350?!?! I'd grab that in a heartbeat!

Then again, I have a well-documented fondness for octave-course basses, so I may be predisposed to snagging a bass that'd be 100% useless in someone else's hands.

I was wondering about the bridge and nut. No closeups of them, but looks like he's just run the octave strings over the 4-string saddles. I don't think that's ideal, but what do I know.
