Finally got a Bergantino!!!! (Pic inside)

So I spent my whole day in the car yesterday and went from Seattle to Portland to pick up this older NV610

I still have not gotten to run it through its paces yet because my DB750 is at the practice space... so I guess the SVTII Pro will have to do

But I won't be able to give a full report until I have band practice AND play a show with it next weekend.

But from what I can tell the best way that I can describe it vs the (newer) 810E is that it sounds smother and more focused. As far as volume it seems to be on par with the 810 when just switch the speaker cable back and forth. The 810E sounds a little harsher and grating with the little bit of dirt I'm getting from the SVT when compared with the Berg., not to say that the 810E sounds bad. I think the 810E is putting out more "rattle the wall bass", but not much more and I would expect that because it has 2 more speakers.

But all I can say is that just moving the 810E out of my room and next to the Berg. made me SO much happier with my purchase.

I want to plug both cabs in but am afraid I will have the cops coming to my door.

I'm not going to lie. It was a brutal drive. I think it is a keeper though. I just ordered a nice slip cover for it.

Love my Berg nv215 with blueline svt. It moves a lot of great air. Bergs are amazing.

Mine is A191. So I guess it is the 191th built. Pretty cool. I enjoyed it when I was a/b'ing it.

So our 2 NV610's were only about 30 apart!
I've still got my NV215 but only just, sadly, my bad back has forced me to move damn everything even slightly heavy-lifting wise.
I'm ok with a bass on my shoulders strangely, tho a heavy one does wear me a bit.

BTW, the Portland>>Seattle run is an absolutely beautiful drive. Used to make the Portland>>>BNW pilgrimage regularly. Hard to beat the Pacific NW.

It will be interesting to read your comments as you A/B the Berg witht eh Ampeg.
Let the Berg break in slowly before drawing some conclusions that can make a big difference.

My experience with the NV cabinets, is the more you use them, everything else get's moved to the side lines, the cabinet load's easily into most cars, it's easy to move around, it sounds good with just about any amp

I run a VT bass in front to give me a little more grind and "oomph" when I play with a pick (which I don't like doing).

I love the Pacific NW. I'm from Orange County, CA and I haven't looked back since moving.
