finally! got my dream rig!

just came home from picking up an ampeg 810

fender jazz>rbi>qsc1202>ampeg 810e

loving every second of this thing.

the best part is the price i got it all for. the whole rig minus the bass i think i spent 1000 around. the rane/qsc/rbi i got for around 600. and i pickup up the ampeg today for...350!!!. rips in tolex but 350!!! i love craigslist!

well im really excited about this thing wanted to post about it. i guess il do some rbi/810 reviews but as of now i love this thing.

NO JOKE!! I've loved my RBI, Crown, 8x10 rig... but I will never play it again. I'm in transition from the last gig (I'm now in the woodshed for a few months), and moving on to whatever I will become next. And getting rid just about everything but the bass and rebuilding from the ground up.

But... it is a great rig. Good times... and jeez I'm glad to never have to move that thing around anymore.

Nice rig! I am not a fan of the Ampeg look but I like that cabinet with that rack! Maybe it's the look of their heads that throw me.

I have an RBI and am curious what it might sound like with QSC power. Congrats!

i havent played any other power amps besides this qsc so i wouldnt know =/

but arent they all supposed to be basically the same?

im just wondering.

i run the graphic eq in the loop of the rbi and its 50/50. but i still loose alot of the tone that i love from the rbi when i use it. the graphic eq is great because i can dial in my mids alot better then with the 1k knob on the rbi. but i loose all that grindy rbi sound when i take the eq off bypass.

anyone help me out with this?

im 120lbs and i have a prizm i move this and my mesa all the time. the 8 10 is actualy easyer than the 4*10 i felt. nice find man but whats it doing in your bedroom??????????????

Well meaning that I am using my RBI with a GK head; not just a power amp.

haha its in my basement. we practice down here. it could sound better but its a really cozy practice space i think.
