finally got THAT TONE

Well I found the tone I have been looking for and it is going to sound ridiculous. I have played everything from full tube, to solid state, from behringer to Aguilar to Ampeg. Bought and sold, and I get the tone from.......SWR Workingman's Combo 1x15, the tone is unbelievable, punch, with nice mids, but the lows are kicken. I got it at a local music store hardly played, with the plastic still on the logo for $350, which I felt was fair. I can't believe it. Now I am gonna sell all my stacks but 1.

Congratulations first off, second........wait until you to a gig. I have really loved some small combo's, inlcuding that one. Things sound alot thinner in at a gig and you'll be wanting one of your stacks. Don't sell anything just yet. Thats all Im saying. :smug:

great to hear. i used an swr wm 15 combo for several years with great results, just had to mvoe up to my current rig due to volume limitations. the wm15 was a workhorse...and the people i sold it to are still using and abusing it with it showing no signs of slowing down.
