Right, bit of a kit update. I finally pulled the trigger on a set of 64 Audio A6t customs. I’ve been dragging my old UE6 Pros through 40 wedding gigs a year for nearly five seasons now, and they’ve finally started to feel a bit congested and "tired" during those long second sets.
I’m running a 5 string Jazz Bass into a Darkglass Anagram on a silent stage, so separation is everything for me - especially with two singers panned hard left and right and tracks right down the middle. I’ve got a Backbeat G2 to handle the physical rumble on my strap, so I went for the 64s mainly for that clinical midrange clarity everyone raves about.
Design wise, I went with Translucent Platinum faceplates on Charcoal shells. I wanted something that would actually catch the stage lights and look like a proper piece of engineering from the back of the room.
For those of you gigging the A6t, how’s that low B definition treating you? Is the jump in separation as noticeable as the price tag suggests compared to the older hybrid models?

I went with A3T. Mostly as it seemed to be biased towards the low end. I get a clear sound overall and the bass is nice and full. When we are silent stage, I'm using an Hx Stomp or an Empress Comp into Undergroud Accellerator into Finally. Just depends if i need or can use synth or not.
