Finally Pulled the Trigger on a New Rig

After much deliberation I ordered a GK L800 and a CX410 today. Got what I felt was a good price at $760 for the head and $466 for the cab new from Guitar Center. On my short list was the L800 and a Tone Hammer. Something about the clean, punchy sounds I heard from the GK stuck with me and it won out.

Long story short I've played guitar for 35 years. I don't play out, it's always been a hobby/personal passion. Recently got serious about recording and set up a home recording studio. I grabbed a fender player series jazz bass (love it) to record directly into a Rupert Neve 5017 preamp. It does the Job exceptionally well and I started to really enjoy playing bass. I plugged it into my Marshall 45/100 (100 watt KT66 bass circuit) and a 4/12 with greenbacks and loved the sound! But of course that wasn't enough for me and it sent me on a journey for a proper bass rig.

In typical fashion instead of getting a small, studio friendly setup I went all out and snagged this beast. The GAS is strong with me.

I absolutely cannot wait to plug into this monster!

Eagerly anticipating a NAD day tomorrow! Props to my man over at guitar center. Ordered Tuesday at 6:30 pm and it's arriving tomorrow, Thursday. I'll warn the neighbors.

I've been so busy playing the thing I've hardly been around here! Absolutely love this rig. I think I've picked up my guitars once since I got it.
This thing is an absolute beast! I always know when my neighbor is going to bed. I get a friendly "can you turn it down" text. Good thing we're cool!
This rig does everything I need it to and way more. So simple to find the sounds I wanted.

Here's to good neighbors. Glad you're digging your rig.

Edit: "Digging," not "dogging."
