Finally revisiting a fretless project

My brain just will not shut up. The artist side of me is constantly becoming interested in new things, and different ideas. Case in point… i have a few builds currently going, and yet my brain is busy designing the next bass down the road. Honestly, sometimes it's a PITA.

Anyway, it's a beautiful day to be in the shop, working. Which of course means that I'm inside designing the next build. o_O

Mahogany body (1.5" thick)
Maple neck with long tenon (to pickup cavity)
Pau ferro fretboard - 20
frets
1.6" nut
2+2 headstock
Belly cut and arm bevel
Hipshot tuners and bridge (possibly)
Music Man style pickup (probably Nordstrand)
Controls - V, T, B - plus coil switch

I did a "quick and dirty" full size drawing on posterboard…. Im old school ;)

Here's what I'm thinking….

Now that I've drawn that out, maybe i can get back to my regularly scheduled program….

Love the lines and proportions of that! Is the MM in P bass territory?
