Finally scored a Wunkay!

A couple of days ago, I wandered into Bass NW to consign a flanger pedal, and lo & behold, there was a 1982 black/maple Wunkay for sale! Now the '76 P-bass that I raved about a few months ago is there on consignment & I'm a happy camper!

Ok, I'm new to G&L Basses (Iknow, better late than never, right?) Just got my first L2000 Today(PURE LOVE!!!)

But, why is it called a Wunkay?
